Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

This policy explains what personal data JOBLO collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and a hashed password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google), and the time you agreed to the Terms and this policy.
  • Resume text and contact details: what you upload or type, such as work history, education, skills, phone number and links.
  • Job links and job data: job postings you import or save, and the analyses and tailored resumes made from them.
  • Portfolio content: the text and images you add to your portfolio. Published portfolios are public.
  • Usage data: which features you use and basic technical data such as device type. Portfolio visit counts do not store visitor IP addresses. Website analytics run only if you accept cookies.
  • Waitlist answers: your email and any answers you give when you join a waitlist or send feedback.

2. Why we use it

We use your data to run JOBLO: to create and secure your account, analyze and tailor your resume, match you with jobs, build and host your portfolio, send account emails (such as email verification and password reset), answer your questions, fix bugs and understand which features are useful.

We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

3. Who processes your data

We use these service providers (processors) to run JOBLO. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.

  • Google Gemini (paid tier): reads your resume and job text to produce AI analysis and suggestions. On the paid tier, Google does not use this input to improve Google products.
  • Supabase: stores our database (accounts, resumes, portfolios) and uploaded images.
  • An email provider: sends verification, password reset and support emails.
  • Google Analytics: measures website usage, and only after you accept the cookie notice.

We may also share data when the law requires it.

4. Data transfers across borders

Our providers run servers in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live, including outside India. By using JOBLO you understand this. We choose providers that protect data with security controls and contracts.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you do not sign in for 24 months, we delete the account and its data. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except for what we must keep by law and short-lived backups, which are overwritten on their normal schedule.

Analytics data kept by Google Analytics follows Google's retention settings for our account.

6. Your rights and how to use them

You can ask us to:

  • Access or export the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct data that is wrong (you can also edit most of it yourself in the app);
  • Delete your account and data.

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, and tell us which of these you want. We may ask you to confirm it is you. We answer within 30 days. You can also stop analytics at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which shows the cookie notice again.

7. Grievance officer and complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, write to our grievance officer at [email protected] ([Business name to be added]). We will acknowledge your complaint and answer it within 30 days.

8. Children

JOBLO is only for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security and data breaches

We protect your data with measures such as encryption in transit, hashed passwords and encrypted stored secrets. No system is perfectly secure.

If a data breach affects your personal data, we will tell the people affected and the authorities as the law requires, and we will explain what happened and what you can do.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date. See also our Terms of Service. Questions: [email protected] or the contact page.
